Frequently Asked Questions

Which data does InciPass check?

The names on your list are compared against the official EU glossary and against the fragrance allergens in Annex III. For each name you see its glossary status and a note where individual labelling applies. Your list is not stored.

Does the check replace legal advice?

No. InciPass compares against the official EU texts and shows what they say. That is not a legal assessment of your formulation — your regulatory or legal advisor remains responsible for that.

Can I print the QR code on my packaging?

Yes. Every published passport comes with a QR code as an image file that you can print on a label or packaging. The code always points to the same address: if you change details in the passport later, the printed code stays valid.

Which code formats does InciPass support?

InciPass generates QR codes — in three styles, optionally with your logo and in a colour whose contrast is checked before delivery. It does not generate barcodes such as EAN or GS1. You can store an existing GTIN with the product; its check digit is recalculated.

How does the label sheet work?

From the Starter plan, InciPass generates an A4 PDF with 36 labels (4 × 9, 50 × 30 mm each). Each carries the QR code, the product name and the brand. You print the sheet yourself and cut or punch the labels out.

Which languages does the product passport support?

The passport page is available in 6 languages. Which one appears depends on the language setting of the device scanning the code; if InciPass recognises none of them, German is served.

Which payment methods are available?

Payment is by credit card, billed monthly or yearly, cancellable at any time. We do not currently offer invoice or SEPA direct debit.

Is there an offer for larger ranges?

Yes — the Enterprise plan can be booked like any other and covers 500 simultaneously published passports and 1,500 analyses per month. There is currently no multi-user or role model: an account belongs to one login. For anything beyond that, write to us.
